Enable Systems has enjoyed a growth rate of 25-30% per year consistently since its spin off in 1998 from Hartford Computer Group, a 25 year established reseller of IT equipment and services that is still thriving today.

The eProcurement industry has undergone a series of transitions since its introduction in the mid 1990s. After several years of explosive growth (in terms of the number of suppliers and solution options), the early part of 2001 has represented an industry scaling back. This readjustment came as a result of market instability, corporate closures, exaggerated business plans, and a dramatically slower adoption rate for multi-million dollar initiatives with unproven paybacks. The subsequent trend of businesses carefully approaching the Procurement marketplace is the very reason that the Enable Systems hosted solution business model has been flourishing. As corporations learn to recognize the significant values offered by well-managed procurement initiatives, companies such as Enable—offering established and proven outsourcing of entire procurement systems and IT infrastructures—are becoming key to intelligent business partnering and investment success.  In response to the current slowed economic growth, many corporations that were previously hesitant to commit to new and costly strategic initiatives are seeking hosted solutions to provide a lower risk, lower initial investment solution for procurement. Lower investments also mean quicker ROI than offered by other software models requiring substantial up-front implementation. 

One of the reasons for Enable Systems success is remaining committed to our goals. One of our goals is to provide our users a pleasant buying experience when using an eprocurement tool. Another important goal we maintain is that we institutionalize a professional procurement process across a wide variety of users. We also strive to continually enhance our searching, attributes and catalog content because they are key success factors. Finally, we focus on simplification and aggregation of processes to drive significant value to our customers. To date, Enable Systems has invested over $30M in the development of our software solution and we employ a highly technical and professional IT staff dedicated to the continued enhancement and support of the tool. Our progressive focus is best demonstrated in the most recent version release of the tool in March, 2001. The release represented a complete graphical refresh and an architectural restructure for database advancements. This release provides the infrastructure required to deliver additional unique functions such as the Intelligent Decision AgentTM (IDA) and Dynamic Parametric Searching.
